Weddings are my favorite thing to do photography for, and friend’s weddings (or their children’s) weddings are especially fun. I’ve known the groom and his family for several years and have been so impressed with what an outstanding person he is. Bodi and Courtney were married in Utah, and they had a beautiful reception for their families and friends in Colorado that I had the honor of doing the photography for.
When I asked Bodi how he met his new wife, he said that both of their parents set them up. While they were both serving missions for their church in South America, their parents thought they would make a great couple. When Courtney got home, she found out her car was needed to be repaired, and since Bodi loves to work on cars, his parents sent him over to fix her car. Every parent wishes they could set up their kids with their future spouses, it actually worked for these parents! They are such a sweet couple, I really enjoyed seeing them together.
The venue they had the reception in, Running Creek Manor, is a hidden gem. You can barely see it from the road, but it is very nice once you drive to it, and it’s close to Parker which has very few wedding and/or reception venues. I was amazed to find out the groom’s mom made the beautiful florals.
